You landed the dream job!! THE job with THE company!!!

The salary is strong. The title fits. The benefits package looks impressive.

They offer health insurance. They offer life insurance. They even offer supplemental coverage.

It feels responsible. It feels secure.

But here’s the question:

Is employer coverage a strategy — or just a benefit?

Most group life insurance plans offer coverage equal to one or two times your salary.

For some households, that’s helpful.

For many households, it’s not enough to replace income long-term — especially if you have children, a mortgage, or shared financial obligations.

There’s another factor most people don’t consider...

Employer life insurance is tied to employment.

If you leave the company, change careers, get laid off, or experience unexpected separation, that coverage may end.

Some policies allow conversion. Many become significantly more expensive when converted.

Group coverage protects your employment.

It does not protect your household independently of it.

A true protection strategy exists outside of any single employer.

It follows you from job to job.

It remains in place during career pivots.

It protects your family even if your employment changes.

Employer benefits are valuable.

They are rarely sufficient on their own.

Group coverage is a starting point. It’s rarely a full strategy.

If your protection plan is tied entirely to your job, it may be time to review what would actually protect your household — long term.

Schedule a complimentary Protection Strategy Call and we’ll evaluate your coverage clearly and objectively.
